In order to ensure the appropriate and effective use of our Elbic agents, which have high applicability in environmental cleanup, the technical department has worked on application technologies that provide customers with agents that are suited to their varied requirements; these agents are selected on the basis of microorganism investigations and performance assessments such as effluent-treatment tests and sludge assessments.In addition, on the basis of our experiences and technical expertise, we have strengthened the immediate-response system to process requests from the sales department, and we provide rapid and active technical-support services that can immediately respond to the customers' requests.
As environmental-control plants become more advanced and complicated, more sophisticated agents will be required for operating these plants.
In order to meet the customers' requirements, we are committed to pursuing improvement of the existing agents, development of new products, and practical implementation of the treatment methods that make maximum use of the distinguishing features of Elbic agents.

We always try to speedily respond to the customers facing various effluent-treatment problems by proposing agents that satisfy the customers’ requirements and by offering water-treatment consultation. In particular, in the cases involving improvement of the quality of treated water in case of emergency, development of countermeasures against various types of water-treatment-related problems, and reduction of running costs, we ask the technical department to conduct the required tests and then propose appropriate effluent-treatment agents and offer operational advice on the basis of the data obtained from the tests.With regard to environmental measures, we also prepare proposals for reduction of the discharged sludge, which are specific for the customers' wastewater-treatment equipment.

In our laboratories, we are committed to the development of new technologies and usages before obtaining intellectual property rights to protect the development results.
Our major intellectual properties are: (i) the Elbic BZ bacterium-related microorganism agent; (ii) a condensed culture medium with the Elbic NEO bacterium; (iii) a pectic coagulating sedimentation agent of Elbic SC; (iv) an agent for the sedimentation of mineral oil by emulsification, and; (v) the Hinode Micro Bubbler (HMB), all of which are already patented to protect our properties. In addition to these technologies, patents for a dispersed bacteria treatment method utilizing the HMB and microorganisms, mineral oil treatment methods, etc., are at the application stage. We are examining other novel issues as well.
Newly developed technologies are patented or established as know-how in order to enhance our advantages in the market. Our technologies thus protected secure the position of our unrivaled products.
